Tumescent and Ultrasonic Liposculpture
Conventional Methods Have Their Places
Similar cosmetic surgery procedures, tumescent and ultrasonic liposculpture are the more conventional liposuction treatments and are effective at removing larger localized fat deposits than Smartlipo laser body sculpting. In both cases, tumescent fluid is infused into the area to make fat rigid before it is suctioned out, but the latter uses ultrasonic energy to liquefy the fat before it is removed.

Liposuction can slim and reshape certain areas of the body, improving contours and proportions. Common locations for liposculpture are the abdominal area, back, inner/outer thighs, calves, buttocks and the face/neck. Liposculpture may also be used for female breast reduction and to treat gynecomastia, or enlarged male breasts.
Ultimately liposuction, like all cosmetic procedures, can be effective in enhancing the patient’s self-image.
