Hand Reconstruction
A Firm Grasp on Corrective Surgery
Wilmington Plastic Surgery has several surgeons who are specialists in hand surgery, including one of the region’s only surgeons who is board-certified in the subspecialty.
Hand reconstructive surgery can address many conditions—inherited and acquired—that can be unsightly, uncomfortable and restrict mobility.
Among the conditions our surgeons address are:
- carpal tunnel syndrome
- arthritis
- cysts
- tendon issues
- trauma-related injuries
- reconstructive issues (including scar contracture)
Surgeons can surgically separate webbed fingers with little to no scarring, and children born with extra fingers require a specialist who can not only remove the excess digits, but also correct and balance the tendons and joints to ensure proper function. Missing digits may also be constructed by the skilled surgeons of Wilmington Plastic Surgery.
